- Friday December 15th – 8:00pm: The Blue Christmas Service. A simple, reflective service for all who find this season difficult
- Sunday December 17th – 10:30am: We celebrate the Advent of Joy
- Sunday December 24th – 10:30am: We celebrate the Advent of Love
- Sunday December 24th – 7:00pm: A Christmas Service of Lessons & Carols
Lent in Pictures

Advent and Christmas Services & Events
There is a lot going on at Morningside – High Park this Christmas season.
Nov. 30 – Advent One
- Rev. Thomas Kim leads the service at 10:30. This is Thomas’ first Sunday as the interim moderator for our church.
- A special Advent gathering will immediately follow fellowship time after the service. This will include activities for all ages, Christmas carols, and an Advent devotional guide for you to take with you.
Dec. 7 – Advent Two
- Rev. Dr. John-Peter Smit leads the service at 10:30. Sermon title: Stories from Bethlehem: Elizabeth, Zechariah and John
Dec. 14 – Advent Three
- Rev. Dr. John-Peter Smit leads the service at 10:30. Sermon title: Stories from Bethlehem: Mary and Joseph

Dec. 21 – Advent Four
- Rev. Dr. John-Peter Smit leads the service at 10:30. Sermon title: Stories from Bethlehem: Angels and Shepherds
- At 7:00 pm we will hold our Blue Christmas or “longest night” service. This quiet and gentle service is especially for those in our community who have experienced the loss of a loved one during in the recent past and for those who find the season of Christmas more difficult.
Dec. 24, – Christmas Eve
- At 7:00 pm we will celebrate Christmas Eve with a Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols
