Fall is here, and with it some new adventures!
We are kicking off our series on the Psalms with an invitation to share your creativity in whatever way you have been gifted. And we are beginning MHP Music Mondays, a FREE concert series happening on the second Monday of each month.
Each of us has a song in our hearts for God. Sometimes we let it out; sometimes we keep it inside just for ourselves. I invite you to be in touch with the song you have and see where God is leading you in this season of life.

September Services
This fall, we will be sharing a series entitled “Psalms: Poetry for the Everyday.”
We are going to invite all kinds of creativity throughout the series. We’ll listen to different kinds of music, and there will be fun activities each week.
September 6 – Communion
Scripture: Psalm 4
Message: “Selah”
This is your invitation to share your creativity over the coming weeks: poetry, songs, paintings, drawings, dance…whatever!
There will be space on the bulletin boards to share your art.
September 13 – Welcome Back BBQ
Scripture: Psalm 23
Message: “A Favourite”
This week we’ll celebrate creativity in food! Following worship, we’ll have our Welcome Back BBQ. Bring your favourite salad or dessert to share.
September 20
Scripture: Psalm 73
Message: “Being Content”
We’ll have Psalm colouring pages for everyone to choose from, with pencil crayons and other supplies provided. There will be space on the bulletin boards to share your creations.
September 27 – Truth and Reconciliation Sunday

Message: “Forgiveness”
Life Events at MHP
We received a lovely thank-you from Rev. Karen Dimock for our retirement gift.
We sent along a card with pictures of our folks and made a gift to Scientists in School in her name. We share her card with you.
Evangel Hall Update
We are now gathering new and gently used fall and winter clothing for Evangel Hall.
There is a collection tote in the foyer. Thank you for helping support our neighbours as the cooler weather approaches.

Welcome Back BBQ!
Sunday, September 13 – after worship
Join us on the lawn for our Welcome Back BBQ!
Session will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs, and you are invited to bring a salad or dessert to share.

MHP Music Mondays!
Free Music for Our Community
Beginning September 14 and happening on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., MHP will host an evening of music for our neighbourhood, family, and friends.
We have invited local groups and musicians to share their gifts for an hour each evening.
Concerts are FREE to all!
We encourage those attending to bring a non-perishable food item for the Bloor West Food Bank.

In these special, award-winning classes, activities are specifically designed to guide parents in supporting music development in their children and connecting with them through musical play.
The research-based curriculum not only develops a child’s natural musicality, but opens the door to a world of possibility—not only for music learning, but for ALL learning!
Fun With Music Together is celebrating 23 years of joyful music-making with thousands of families in the GTA.
