Cherie’s Sharing

God’s Love Includes Everyone

“God’s Love Includes Everyone.” This is a statement that we believe.

Our God, the God of compassion, grace, generosity and love, upholds each person created in God’s image — and that is all of us. In June, we recognize those who identify as LGBTQ2S+ and share our love, God’s love, freely and willingly.

Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, commanded us in Matthew 22:37–39:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

“You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”

There are no provisos attached here. It is very simple: love your neighbour — and that is all of them — as yourself.

At MHP, we are committed to this very simple commandment and welcome all who would like to know Jesus and be in a community of compassion, grace, generosity and love.

Habitat for Humanity Volunteers Needed

Habitat GTA is leading the way in addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time: the need for affordable homes.

They partner with hardworking families in need of an affordable, safe, and secure place to live, helping their families thrive.

Habitat GTA relies on the help of volunteers. Becoming a volunteer offers meaningful ways to engage with the community, learn new skills, and contribute to a mission that strengthens communities across the GTA.

Posters are also on the bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

Greeters Needed

Do you love to say hello to folks?

Would you like to be the first face people see as they walk in our doors on Sunday mornings?

We are looking for people to be Greeters, to welcome our faith family to MHP and to guide and direct first-time worshipers.

If this is something you are interested in doing once or twice a month, please sign up in the Fellowship Hall or speak to Pastor Cherie.

Coffee Hour Volunteers

We love to get together for coffee hour after service!

We are looking for some folks to put the coffee and tea on and bring some cookies. It’s an easy job, and we’ll help you get started.

There is a sign-up sheet on the coffee table with dates you can choose from. Ideally, we would like to have one or two people each Sunday. If no one signs up for a certain Sunday, then coffee hour will not be held that day.

Any questions, please speak to an Elder or Pastor Cherie.
