Dear MHP Friends,
We shall welcome a “newcomer” preacher to lead us in worship this Sunday after many months of familiar ministers. His name is Rev. Jim Biggs. His sermon title is “To fear or not to fear” and the scripture passages are from Psalm 34; 1 John 4:7-21 and Luke 24:36-48.
I am going to mention a future Sunday date here which is not the norm for this message content. However, since it is summer time and communications tend to reach all of us in a more sporadic way it seems a worthwhile exception to the general rule. On July 19 our guest musician will be Mark Fulep, an outstanding Hungarian Flute virtuoso playing on a Yamaha 14 karat gold Flute he has been awarded by the Hungarian government. Mark has been invited to perform at the International Flute Convention at the University of Toronto. He is offering a Master Class/Coaching sessions after the service at the church, from 2 p.m. If you know of any Flute players who would like to take advantage of this rare opportunity please, pass on the information to them. Anyone interested should contact Dorothy Krizmanic for details and scheduling. Auditors are also welcome. At the end of the master class Mark will give a short recital and demonstration on a number of folk instruments of the flute family. It will be a rare treat, do plan to attend.
Thank you for your Vacation Bible Camp donations of arts and crafts materials. Keep it up.
In Christian Love,
Hildy Stollery
